As Senior Support Worker, you will be a key member of the home's leadership team. You will:

  • Lead daily shifts, model professional conduct, and support with decision-making
  • Mentor and guide support workers, especially during challenging or high-pressure situations
  • Work closely with the Deputy and Registered Manager on audits, reports, and regulatory checks
  • Help implement consistent routines, emotional regulation strategies, and risk management plans
  • Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with young people through reflective and therapeutic practice
  • Ensure that the home is always placement-ready and compliant with regulatory standards

Requirements

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or higher)
  • Experience working in residential care with young people presenting EBD, ADHD, or complex needs
  • Confident leading shifts and mentoring junior staff
  • Skilled in safeguarding, de-escalation, and therapeutic approaches
  • Reliable, reflective, and emotionally consistent
