As Senior Support Worker, you will be a key member of the home's leadership team. You will:
- Lead daily shifts, model professional conduct, and support with decision-making
- Mentor and guide support workers, especially during challenging or high-pressure situations
- Work closely with the Deputy and Registered Manager on audits, reports, and regulatory checks
- Help implement consistent routines, emotional regulation strategies, and risk management plans
- Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with young people through reflective and therapeutic practice
- Ensure that the home is always placement-ready and compliant with regulatory standards
This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone looking to make a lasting impact in a brand-new therapeutic setting.
Requirements
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or higher)
- Experience working in residential care with young people presenting EBD, ADHD, or complex needs
- Confident leading shifts and mentoring junior staff
- Skilled in safeguarding, de-escalation, and therapeutic approaches
- Reliable, reflective, and emotionally consistent
