More than a valeting role - an opportunity to build a career with a growing business. We are looking for a reliable, positive and hard-working Vehicle Valeter to join our team at CVM World. You will play an important part in making sure every vehicle leaves us looking its best and ready to create the right first impression for our customers. Just as importantly, we are looking for the right attitude. We want someone who enjoys being part of a team, approaches challenges positively and looks for solutions rather than problems. Our core values of One Team and Openness shape how we work: supporting colleagues, communicating well and taking shared responsibility for getting the job done.

Why join CVM World?

  • Work-life balance: As a family-owned and managed business, we want people to enjoy their work and have a life outside it. The role includes an early finish every Friday and the opportunity to work a 9-day fortnight. If your personal circumstances don’t allow or you choose not to work a 9-day fortnight, your working hours will be Monday to Thursday 8.00-4.30pm and Friday 8.00-1.00pm.
  • Real career opportunities: For people who show the right attitude, ability and commitment, this role can be a starting point rather than a destination. Previous successful valeters have progressed and trained within CVM World as coachbuilders and body shop technicians.
  • Be part of a growing business: CVM World is one of the UK’s leading van conversion specialists, with growing Minibus, Welfare and Bespoke vehicle ranges.
  • Have a voice: We encourage an inclusive and collaborative company culture where colleagues can contribute to how the company operates and develops.

Benefits: Company uniform, 28 days holiday including bank holidays and invitation to join the Company Pension Scheme.

The role

As a CVM World Valeter, you will be responsible for preparing new and used vehicles to a consistently high standard for photography, online advertising and, most importantly, customer handover. This is a practical, active role where attention to detail, pride in your work and the ability to keep pace with delivery deadlines really matter. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Valeting new and used vehicles to a high standard and in good time for customer delivery.
  • Completing sign-off paperwork when each valet is finished.
  • Checking and signing vehicles in.
  • Helping to organise the yard and keep vehicles moving efficiently through the site.
  • Delivering and/or collecting vehicles when required.
  • Taking vehicles to and from MOT testing when required.
  • Identifying and reporting any repairs, damage or maintenance work that needs attention.
  • Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
  • Supporting colleagues and the wider business with other reasonable duties when required.

What we are looking for

  • A team player: You work cooperatively, help colleagues when needed and understand that everyone contributes to the customer experience.
  • Positive and solution focused: You respond constructively when things change, spot opportunities to improve and focus on what can be done.
  • Pride and attention to detail: You care about the quality of your work and notice the small things that make a vehicle presentation-ready.
  • Reliable and organised: You can manage your workload, meet deadlines and be trusted to see jobs through.
  • Open and communicative: You raise issues early, share information and communicate respectfully with colleagues.
  • Flexible: You are willing to adapt and support the wider team when priorities change.

Licence / experience

A full driving licence is required. D1 entitlement is preferred but not essential. Applications are welcome from candidates with valeting experience as well as people from related backgrounds who can demonstrate the right transferable skills, work ethic and attitude.

Could this be your next step?

If you are someone who takes pride in doing a job well, brings positive energy to a team and wants the opportunity to grow with a successful business, we would like to hear from you. Our premises are in Knypersley, Stoke-on-Trent, around 10 minutes from the A500 and convenient for Congleton, Biddulph, Tunstall, Newcastle-under-Lyme and the surrounding areas.

To apply: Please email your CV and covering letter to vacancies(at)cvmworld. If you have not heard from us within 30 days of applying, it is likely that your application has been unsuccessful.
