THE BUSINESS:

Our client is a well-established and growing technology solutions provider delivering cloud, infrastructure, cyber security, connectivity, and managed IT services to a diverse customer base across the UK.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

As a Project Engineer, you will take ownership of technical project delivery from initial discovery and planning through to implementation and handover.

You will work directly with customers, internal stakeholders, and third-party vendors to design and deploy secure, scalable, and supportable solutions while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.

This position is ideal for someone with a strong Microsoft cloud background who enjoys delivering customer-facing projects and acting as a trusted technical advisor.

Working on a variety of modern workplace, cloud migration, infrastructure, and security projects, you will play a key role in helping customers transform and modernise their IT environments.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead customer IT projects from initiation through to completion.
  • Conduct technical discovery sessions and workshops.
  • Develop implementation plans and migration strategies.
  • Identify and manage technical risks and project dependencies.
  • Deploy and configure Microsoft 365 solutions.
  • Deliver migrations involving Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Implement Microsoft Entra ID and identity management solutions.
  • Deliver Azure-based solutions and cloud migrations.
  • Implement and support hybrid infrastructure environments.
  • Apply security best practices across project deployments.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and technical teams.
  • Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers

Key Skills/Experience required:

  • Experience working within an MSP, IT services provider, or technical consultancy environment.
  • Proven track record delivering Microsoft 365 and Azure projects.
  • Strong Microsoft 365 administration knowledge.
  • Experience with Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, MFA, and Conditional Access.
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and endpoint security.
  • Knowledge of Azure infrastructure and hybrid environments.
  • Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.
  • Networking knowledge including firewalls, VPNs, switching, and routing.
  • Excellent customer-facing communication skills.
  • Strong documentation and project delivery experience.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
