  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Location: High Wycombe – occasional travel to Aylesbury
  • Salary: £29,795 per year (FTE) plus 30% pay for hours worked 11pm‑12am
  • Hours: 11 hrs – Friday and Saturday 6pm‑12am, plus 2 hrs admin time (13 total hours)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide line management, support, and supervision to the Safe Haven team and collaborate with the Buckinghamshire Mind Operational Management Team.
  • Create a warm and welcoming environment for people experiencing out‑of‑hours mental health crises.
  • Promote alternative mental health services to service users and raise their awareness and independence.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with external agencies and partners.
  • Required Experience and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated leadership, support, and supervisory skills with the ability to manage workload and work collaboratively.
  • Ability to respond calmly to emotional crises, high‑risk situations, and to conduct de‑escalation, safety planning, and suicide prevention.
  • Experience in supporting people with mental health difficulties to build independence, develop self‑management strategies, and create positive change.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills; commitment to confidentiality, equality, diversity, and the values of Buckinghamshire Mind.
