A Marketing Group which services Clients across Europe seeks a strong Financial Controller. Autonomous operationally from its US parent, reporting is nonetheless to US GAAP. Strong exposure to US Accounting including Revenue Recognition are vital to perform well in this role. This must not be your first exposure to working with auditors and lawyers across multiple territories via a network of branches and local subsidiaries. This is a good opportunity to support and work with the business teams. The UK was the start point and is still the main market but that should change as other markets grow such as China, LATAM and even possibly the US itself.
Duties include:
- Manage a team of six in Finance
- Deliver high quality reports to deadline
- Supporting the business teams in compliance with local legislation in all markets that the Group operates in currently or may seek to do in the near future.
- Work with the CFO to improve performance and minimise currency exposure
- Develop a strong Control Environment
- Ad hoc duties
You will be:
- A qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent).
- Top 4 firm experience of working with US GAAP, including Revenue Recognition
- Technically strong
- Able to manage many demands at the same time.
- Work well under pressure (at times)
