About the Role

Join our dynamic team at Carlsberg Britvic, a newly formed integrated beverage powerhouse. As an Engineering Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring maximum availability and reliability of production equipment across our manufacturing facilities.

Role Responsibilities

  • Ensure maximum equipment reliability by promptly responding to breakdowns, conducting effective repairs, and implementing preventative maintenance strategies aligned with the Britvic Work System (BWS).
  • Maintain strict adherence to Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality procedures, including LOTO, Permit to Work systems, and all relevant statutory requirements.
  • Take ownership of site reliability performance metrics and KPIs, actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles (TPM, RCM, RCA, PDCA, 5S).
  • Lead and participate in zero loss teams to optimize utilities usage and drive improvements to equipment reliability.
  • Collaborate with Operations teams to develop world‑class engineering solutions that promote a culture of strong performance and professional manufacturing.
  • Maintain accurate records in the SAP PM system, ensuring proper documentation of maintenance activities and spare parts usage.
  • Support capital engineering projects in partnership with the Central Engineering Department to ensure successful completion within cost, quality, and time targets.

Experience & Key Attributes

  • Minimum BTEC/NVQ Level 3 qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Strong multi‑skilled background with an electrical bias, capable of understanding root causes of machine breakdowns and developing effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in maintenance delivery within a manufacturing environment, preferably in Food/Beverage/FMCG industries.
  • Proficiency in continuous improvement methodologies and Lean principles, with TPM practitioner experience desirable.
  • Excellent analytical and practical skills, combined with strong IT literacy (MS Office suite) and data analysis capabilities.
  • Proven ability to manage contractors, review risk assessments, and issue permits while maintaining strict safety standards.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to train and develop others in a collaborative team environment.
