About the role

This job is with Boston Scientific, an inclusive employer and a member of myGwork – the largest global platform for the LGBTQ+ business community.

At Boston Scientific, we'll give you the opportunity to harness all that's within you by working in teams of diverse and high-performing employees, tackling some of the most important health industry challenges. With access to the latest tools, information and training, we'll help you in advancing your skills and career. Here, you'll be supported in progressing - whatever your ambitions.

About the Role

This is a national Field Clinical Specialist role supporting the growth of Boston Scientific's Interventional Oncology & Embolisation portfolio across the UK & Ireland. You will play a highly visible role in helping clinicians deliver advanced treatment options for patients, combining hands-on clinical case support, customer education, technology expertise and close collaboration with commercial teams to achieve growth across key product lines.

Working within the Interventional Oncology & Embolisation (IO&E) business, the Field Clinical Specialist will support high-growth technologies that are shaping patient care and service development:

  • Ablation portfolio: RFA and Cryoablation technologies used across a range of benign and malignant treatment pathways.
  • TheraSphere and Simplicit90Y: supporting clinicians with personalised dosimetry treatment planning, prospective and retrospective case review, and the pursuit of strong clinical outcomes.

To maximise your client support coverage across UK & Ireland, it is preferable to be based in the Greater London area; however, this is not a requirement. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Act as a trusted clinical expert, providing specialist support for patient treatment planning, technology use, clinical troubleshooting and post-procedure follow-up.
  • Educate customers on the safe, effective and appropriate use of Boston Scientific technologies through presentations, demonstrations, case discussions and training materials.
  • Partner with physicians, physicists, radiographers, nurses and wider hospital teams through case reviews, clinical observation, education and service development discussions.
  • Understand customer needs, clinical goals and operational constraints, then demonstrate how Boston Scientific solutions can support patient care and service growth.
  • Build strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams, hospital departments and key decision makers to support long-term partnerships and future growth opportunities.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer needs, questions and complaints, developing practical solutions that support customers and patients.

You will also have the opportunity to lead specialist projects, provide technical leadership to internal stakeholders, and support the development of colleagues across the UK & Ireland and wider EMEA team through training, coaching and knowledge sharing. This remote field-based role offers a permanent contract and covers UK & Ireland. With extensive travel, you will be in the field approximately four days per week; however, the amount is dependent on client needs.

What are we looking for in you:

  • A proactive, organised and curious approach, with the confidence to build relationships, solve problems and communicate complex information clearly.
  • A genuine interest in innovation, patient outcomes and working in partnership with customers to advance clinical practice.
  • Relevant clinical or industry experience, such as nursing, radiography, clinical specialist, Interventional Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Medical Physics or Radiotherapy, would be beneficial.
  • BSc in Radiotherapy, Medical Physics, Nuclear Medicine or a related discipline, or equivalent clinical training such as completion of the Clinical Scientist Training Programme.
  • Good understanding of routine and complex imaging techniques, treatment planning workflows and multidisciplinary patient pathways.
  • Experience with treatment planning or dosimetry software is desirable, although full product and therapy training will be provided.
  • Experience supporting complex clinical cases, case reviews, trials or imaging-led procedures would be advantageous.
