Nursery Chef We are working with an independent childrens day nursery who are currently looking for a Nursery Chef for their nursery setting in Battersea. The successful candidate will ideally have had previous experience working within a busy kitchen environment and catering for large numbers, special diets, and allergies. Experience cooking within an Early Years setting would also be desirable, however, this is not essential. Position Details Your role will include: Preparing and cooking nutritionally balanced meals appropriate for under-fives Overseeing menu planning, ensuring the children receive a healthy nutritionally balanced diet Maintaining a safe, clean and healthy kitchen Regulating kitchen stock control and collating food purchasing orders Meeting health and safety and environmental health requirements at all times You will ideally have: A current Food Hygiene Certificate and First Aid Certificate Sound knowledge of food allergies Experience of cooking within childcare setting Proven experience and ability to organise, plan and cook nutritionally balanced meals for different dietary needs Knowledge and awareness of Health and Safety requirements What you can expect: A supportive and rewarding working environment £13.50 – £15.00 per hour starting salary, negotiable A range of employee benefits Generous holiday allowance To apply to this Nursery Chef position please submit your CV using the apply link.
