Overview: This role involves working in both commercial and domestic environments across South London, Surrey, and Hampshire. The position offers a competitive salary ranging from £39,000 to £45,000 per annum, along with additional benefits. Working hours are from 08:00 to 17:00, although a level of flexibility is required.

Job Duties:

  • Conduct routine and preventative maintenance inspections of all electrical systems and components, including fuses, transformers, and circuit breakers, to identify hazards, defects, or the need for repair or adjustment.
  • Repairing or replacing faulty wiring as needed.
  • Performing diligent visual inspections and electrical testing to ensure system integrity.
  • Addressing any issues identified during Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) or while fault finding through necessary repairs and replacements.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, technical diagrams, and specifications to guide installations and repairs.
  • Managing small to medium-sized electrical installations effectively.
  • Ensuring compliance with national electrical codes and safety procedures in all aspects of work.
  • Mentoring and managing apprentice electricians to assist in their development.
  • Communicating effectively with clients and other personnel.

Job Requirements:

  • A relevant testing and inspection qualification, such as City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent (beneficial, though not essential).
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in running and bending conduit.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • A full, clean UK driving licence.
  • 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) qualification (essential).
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or an equivalent recognised qualification.
  • A current and valid Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS card).
  • 2–3 years’ residential, commercial or industrial electrical experience.

Job Offer:

  • £39,000 – £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
  • Company van and fuel card.
  • 28 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays).
  • Overtime available.
  • Paid training: 18th edition refreshers, EV, solar, battery training available.
  • Working hours 08:00 – 17:00, however a level of flexibility required.
