An Electronics Design Engineer is required for a leading control and technology solutions manufacturer, based in Tonbridge, Kent. The successful candidate will need to deal with all aspects of the company's current and planned product range and have a profound technical knowledge within controls and circuit design.
A strong candidate profile would benefit from having some experience in mobile phone app design and development.
Job Overview:
- Perform analogue (primarily audio) circuit design, including class 'D' power amplifiers.
- Digital circuit design, including processors and interfaces.
- Working with wireless technologies such as Bluetooth for streaming audio content.
- Embedded firmware design using 'C' programming language in a GCC environment.
- Embedded Linux on ARM platforms and digital signal processing.
- Understanding of product design in relation to the regulatory requirements for EMC, ESD and the Radio Equipment Directive.
- Develop technical specifications from marketing department briefings and work in a team.
- Work occasionally in a customer-facing environment and conduct site visits when needed.
- Use MS Office packages and Cadence OrCAD design tool.
Job Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent qualifications within Electronic Engineering or a related subject.
- A profound understanding of PCB design and testing knowledge of PCB assemblies.
- An in-depth knowledge of wireless technologies such as Bluetooth for streaming audio content.
- An understanding and knowledge in mobile app design and development.
- Be based within a commutable distance of Tonbridge, Kent.
Salary & Benefits:
- £28,000 to £35,000 - dependent upon experience. Hybrid working pattern on offer.
- Working hours: 35 hours a week - Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm with a 1-hour unpaid lunch.
- Holiday package - 28 days holiday including bank holidays.
- Company pension scheme and bonus scheme.
