The Opportunity
As an Associate Director, you will take ownership of a commercial property portfolio and act as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring assets are managed effectively and aligned with wider investment objectives. You will work closely with internal teams, external consultants and key stakeholders to deliver a consistent, high-quality service while identifying opportunities to enhance value and occupier satisfaction across the portfolio. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a proactive property management service across a commercial portfolio
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, occupiers and professional advisers
- Provide strategic advice to clients on operational and management matters
- Prepare and present regular client reports and portfolio updates
- Monitor income collection, arrears management and tenant performance
- Oversee service charge budgets, expenditure and reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and health & safety requirements
- Undertake property inspections and identify opportunities to enhance asset performance
- Manage landlord and tenant matters, including licences, consents and lease-related queries
- Support transactional activity including acquisitions, disposals and portfolio transitions
- Work alongside asset management, building consultancy and wider property teams
- Contribute to business development initiatives and client retention activities
- Support and mentor junior surveyors within the team
About You
- Proven experience within commercial property management
- Strong understanding of landlord and tenant matters
- Experience working with investor, property company or occupier clients
- Good knowledge of service charges, budgeting and financial reporting
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Commercially minded with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and client relationships effectively
- Previous mentoring or supervisory experience would be advantageous
- MRICS qualification preferred, although strong non-chartered candidates will be considered
