Bates & Bradshaw are currently working alongside 2 Sisters Food Group, one of Europe's leading food manufacturers, offering a wide range of products from soups and frozen goods to poultry. We are looking to expand our workforce at our site in West Bromwich, which solely produces poultry across 2 shifts, 7 days a week. We seek experienced engineers with a background in FMCG manufacturing who want to develop their careers in a growing organisation.
As an electrically biased maintenance engineer, you will join a team of engineers responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of production equipment, ensuring continuous availability across the business. You will report directly to the Engineering team leader and be on call to rectify and eliminate equipment faults and machine downtime.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain all mechanical and electrical equipment in a manner making it fit and safe for use.
- Maintain the fabric of the building within the maintenance department's capabilities.
- Evaluate electrical systems, products, and components, repairing and installing when necessary.
- Respond to breakdowns in a timely manner.
- Carry out routine maintenance.
- Keep equipment operational by following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting repair service.
- Contribute to team effort with a good mechanical background in a manufacturing environment.
