A&P Falmouth’s facility is one of the largest ship-repair complexes in the UK. We are looking for Steelworkers / Fabricators with strong craftsmanship and attention to detail to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Experience as a Steelworker/Fabricator (welder/plater) and/or familiarity with welding techniques (e.g. MMA, MIG, TIG etc.) would be great, we can provide training for the standards we work to.

So, what will you do?

  • Fabricate and assemble steel components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Use metalworking machines such as hydraulic presses, rolls, shears, cutting torches, grinders and drills to bend, cut, form, punch, drill or otherwise form steel/aluminium components.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.

And what are we looking for?

  • Previous experience as a steelworker/fabricator (welder/plater) or in a similar role, and/or familiarity with welding techniques (e.g. MMA, MIG, TIG etc.), we can train you to get you to the standards we work to.
  • The ability to understand technical drawings.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Commitment to ensuring health and safety in your work.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, vital for success in the projects that we deliver.
