We are in need of a pre-litigation fee earner. Job specification for both is the same and is as follows: A high-volume caseload of Fast Track Personal Injury RTA Portal claims following the MOJ process.

Key Tasks:

  • Progressing your caseload in a manner to ensure that clients receive appropriate, professional, timely and pertinent legal advice, with regular contact, whilst managing their expectations.
  • To identify early those cases where proceedings would be tactically beneficial to litigate and to do so expeditiously.
  • Identify cases that have an element of serious injury and escalate the cases and remove from the Portal.
  • You will be supervised and supported by a recognised solicitor within the team.
  • Instructing Barristers to represent clients at hearings and obtain formal Advice over issues of quantum.
  • Instructing Medical Agencies and Engineers and liaising with third parties.
  • Undertaking other duties reasonably required by partners or senior management.

Person Specification:

Essential Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • A good understanding of the MOJ process.
  • Experience in dealing with Credit Hire Companies.
  • Knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules.
  • Have proven IT skills and ability to adapt new technology.
  • Able to demonstrate strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills including oral and written presentation skills.
  • The ability to provide a high level of client care.

Desirable Skills:

  • Preferably claimant orientated.
  • Proficient with Proclaim Case Management, although training will be provided.
  • Experience of Infant Approval Hearings and Stage 3 hearings.
