About the Role
ASC are seeking an experienced Project / Program Manager to join our team for a fixed-term period (10 months) to drive forward critical delivery of our global aquaculture certification projects. You will assist ASC in continuing to embed a culture of Project & Change Management internally, whilst pro-actively driving forward our most strategically important projects.
Your main focus will be to centrally drive forward & coordinate the ASC Farm Standard project, which will be implemented globally over the next two years. Also, to act as project lead on various smaller and distinct projects. This role is crucial to the implementation of ASC’s core products, the new ASC Farm Standard as well as the ASC Feed Standard.
We need someone who can engage with and lead internal teams to deliver project workstreams, manage risk well and ensure compliance standards within programmes. This role needs a natural collaborator, who is able to clearly identify & reduce project risks, problem-solve and enable effective decision-making, both strategically and operationally.

Responsibilities
- Project Management of ASC’s new industry-leading Farm Certification Programme implementation, through:
- Understanding change processes & people required to own and deliver each project workstream
- Organize and facilitate all internal teams ensuring correct allocation, engagement and deliverables
- Clear & robust internal communication to convey project purpose, benefits and expectations of changes required
- Guiding teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring projects are aligned with organizational goals and target dates
- Comprehensive Risk Assessments and reporting with contingency planning to avoid potential pitfalls or project impacts. Risk mitigation being the primary focus.
- Facilitate effective judgement / decision-making, escalating to senior stakeholders for clear resolution, resourcing and delegation
- Championing realistic and manageable time management alongside project solutions & results
- Effective project governance including operational management of existing governance structures, including clear records & documentation requirements
- Utilize ASC’s Monday.com system to centrally oversee activities, resources and offer clear executive project reporting (project slide deck)
- Regular Data and Project reporting to senior management, project teams and critical stakeholders
- Project management of various core ASC strategic projects via our Project Governance process, including guiding the ASC Feed Programme implementation and Digital Audit Template etc.

Pay range and compensation package
Salary: circa 45,000 – 55,000 pro-rated for the contract term (10-months), based on credentials & experience.
Benefits: Minimum of 25 days holiday, pro-rata as accrued, with generous local benefits including Pension and a free coffee each week on ASC.
Person Profile
- Able to commit to 10-month minimum contract term
- Qualified / Experienced Project Manager happy to be ‘hands on’ with intricate and technical certification projects
- Comfortable motivating organisational change and/or transformation programmes and project works
- Solutions-focused approach to environmental and social issues through professional action
- Adaptable learner able to translate complex & elaborate project needs into clear project plans

Skills / Experience
- Qualified (level 7) in Programme / Project / Change Management or prior experience in overseeing several strategic projects / programmes to delivery, on time in full
- Knowledge of Project / Programme Management methodologies, approaches or frameworks e.g. MSP, PRINCE2, Agile, SAFe etc.
- Experience working remotely with matrix or multi-partner environments (global / international workforces)
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication techniques, able to apply this at all levels, acting as a ‘critical friend’ to the organisation
- Engagement, Delegation, Prioritisation and Planning know-how to help achievement of complex projects, to agreed standards & timeframes
- Strong risk and dependency management training / qualification
- Flexible working style / approach, able to operate at both strategic and operational levels
- Proficient in all digital project management support systems / tools i.e. Microsoft Office, Monday.com (CRM), Teams/SharePoint etc.
- Professional certification e.g. MSP Practitioner, PgMP, PRINCE2, Agile is desirable
- Prior knowledge / experience in the food sector & certification programmes would be highly advantageous
Selection Process

Sometimes you may be asked to prepare additional written materials, past work examples and/or a skills task. Interviews will generally be held via Teams.
