Amazon's Global Procurement Organization is on a mission to transform how procurement works at Amazon scale.
We build the technology that powers billions of dollars in purchasing decisions, and we're looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to help lead that transformation.
In this role you'll help advance procurement from individual AI-assisted productivity toward an operating model where AI increasingly supports and automates processes, with people orchestrating, verifying, and governing the work.
This is a high-impact role at the intersection of technology, operations, and business strategy, where your work directly influences how Amazon procures and manages supplies at scale.
- Key job responsibilities
- Define and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of complex, cross-functional technology programs, from problem definition and design through build, launch, and iteration.
- Manage roadmaps, milestones, and dependencies across multiple engineering teams, proactively identifying risks and removing barriers to keep delivery on track.
- Stand up and operate new delivery team structures for AI transformation initiatives, from team charter and composition through solutions running in production.
- Drive architecture and design discussions, applying working knowledge of AI and AWS services to evaluate trade-offs and ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and operationally sound.
- Build the mechanisms the program depends on, including team and charter registries, playbooks for standing up new teams, and the feedback loop that carries learning between business areas.
- Facilitate business and technical meetings, driving crisp decisions and ensuring the right people are in the room at the right time.
- Communicate program status, risks, trade-offs, and outcomes to a broad set of stakeholders, from engineering teams to Directors and VPs, through clear written narratives and verbal updates.
- Independently identify and resolve structural blockers across teams and systems, including governance gaps, duplicated solutions, missing orchestration between existing tools, and unclear ownership.
- Drive process improvements that increase the speed and quality of delivery across teams, streamlining mechanisms and eliminating unnecessary overhead.
- About the team

We partner closely with business teams to modernize systems, simplify complex workflows, and deliver scalable solutions that help Amazon procure smarter, faster, and more efficiently at global scale.
- Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
- Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management
- Experience in technical program management working directly with software engineering teams
- Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
- Experience working with AI systems, including large language models and agent-based workflows, strong enough to assess feasibility and challenge proposed designs
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
- Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps
