We are seeking a skilled Structural MIG Welder to a manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components with precision and efficiency, ensuring high-quality standards are met. Duties

  • Operate MIG welding equipment to join metal parts according to technical specifications and safety guidelines
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical instructions
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal components
  • Perform fabrication tasks including cutting, grinding, and finishing metal surfaces
  • Conduct quality checks on welds and finished products to ensure compliance with standards
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into final products or structures
  • Troubleshoot minor issues with welding equipment and perform basic maintenance as required

Skills

  • Proven experience in MIG welding
  • Strong knowledge of structural welding techniques and standards
  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
  • Mechanical knowledge relevant to assembly processes and material handling
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately
  • Good understanding of safety procedures related to welding and manufacturing environments
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team

The Package

  • £14.50 -£14.80 pay rate inclusive of shift allowance
  • 12 week temporary to permanent contract
  • Working hours Monday to Thursday 08:00am till 17:00, early finish on a Friday at 16:30
