Trainee Tax Accountant

Alexander Daniels are recruiting for an experienced Assistant Financial Accountant (VAT) to join a successful manufacturing business in the West Midlands. The successful candidate will be supporting the Tax Manager in delivering on-time, accurate and compliant taxation filings with a focus on Indirect Taxes. Key Accountabilities: To provide clean and accurate data to external service providers on a timely basis and resolve any queries so that returns can be submitted on time and in full Payment of taxes to tax authorities will be on a timely basis Banking procedures and internal approvals processes Support the timely and effective implementation of existing and new legislation The post-holder will build and maintain technical skills and knowledge through the completion of their Accounting or Tax qualification and by completing evidenced CPD. Prepare tax returns for review by Line Manager in line with local regulations Procedures and manuals related to tax returns will be maintained Ensure all tax return submissions are supported by accurate documentation.
