We have been asked by a leading telecom reseller to source the very best telecom sales expert to join their national sales team. The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for developing and executing a sales plan to grow the company's hosted VOIP business. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in B2B sales, as well as experience with hosted VOIP solutions.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Generate new business self-generated leads from a database of warm company contacts.
- Stay on top of prospective customers' renewal dates to catch sales opportunities.
- Sell telecommunications services, including: VoIP, IP PBX and Connectivity.
- Take a consultative approach to understanding customers needs and selling the correct solution.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at prospective and existing customers.
- Track and report on sales activity and performance.
- Meet or exceed sales goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
- Proven track record of closing deals.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented.
