About the role

Academics are recruiting qualified and adaptable Teachers to support our partner primary schools across Skipton, including mainstream settings and specialist SEN provisions. This role is ideal for qualified Teachers seeking flexible daily supply work, with the potential for long-term and permanent positions.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching across the primary age range, with opportunities to support pupils in both mainstream classrooms and SEN settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the primary curriculum
  • Manage and support whole-class learning effectively
  • Provide targeted support for pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis
  • Adapt teaching to meet a range of learning and SEN needs
  • Promote a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
  • Maintain strong behaviour and classroom management

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
  • Experience in primary education (mainstream and/or SEN desirable)
  • A flexible, professional and reliable approach to daily supply work
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A passion for supporting children's learning and development
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
