We are seeking a PMO Lead with a strong background in managing transformation initiatives, project governance, and portfolio management. This role will be responsible for driving large-scale programs, ensuring they align with business objectives, and implementing robust project management frameworks. The ideal candidate will have experience working with senior leadership, managing risks, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact projects successfully.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Governance: Lead the establishment and continuous improvement of PMO governance frameworks, standards, and processes to ensure the successful delivery of transformation programs.
- Portfolio Management: Oversee the portfolio of transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategies. Provide regular reporting on project progress, risks, and issues to senior leadership.
- Transformation Leadership: Drive the execution of large-scale transformation programs, ensuring smooth coordination across departments and stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with senior leaders and key stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and priorities. Foster relationships to ensure alignment and successful delivery of projects.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage risks related to transformation initiatives. Implement effective mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of project managers, ensuring they have the resources, guidance, and support needed to succeed.
- Budget & Resource Management: Ensure appropriate resource allocation and effective budget management for all transformation programs.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare detailed project reports, status updates, and dashboards for senior leadership, offering insights and recommendations for course corrections as needed.
Required Skill & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Project Management, or a related field (PMP, PRINCE2, or SAFe certification is a plus).
- Hands-on experience in a PMO leadership role, with expertise in transformation programs and project governance.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid project management methodologies.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects, budgets, and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent skills in stakeholder management, risk assessment, and conflict resolution.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, or Smartsheet.
- Previous experience in the Retail industry, particularly in managing transformation initiatives related to POS, OMS, or Supply Chain operations, is highly desirable.
