Job description DRIVER CLASS 2 Mon - Friday 6.30am - Finish.
With 25 days holiday P/a plus bank holidays.
Aalco Chepstow requires a driven and dynamic driver to take on this exciting and challenging opportunity.
It is a demanding role that will reward the right candidate through hard work, determination and an outright commitment to our customers.
JOB DESCRIPTION: The person appointed will report to the Warehouse Manager and responsibilities include: - Ensure load is safe and secure and loaded in appropriate order for drops.
Carry out vehicle maintenance checks and ensure vehicle is roadworthy.
Always drive in a safe manner and adhere to current driving legislation Make deliveries efficiently ensuring customers requirements are met and deal with any problems as they arise.
Work to systems and procedures so that material is off-loaded and distributed in the most efficient and cost effective way.
On completion of drops return to Service Centre as soon as possible to make yourself available for other work.
Work in a safe manner, always adhering to the Company Health and Safety Policy and Safe Working Practices.
Undertake all tasks with a 'customer service', 'can do' attitude and contribute to improving the performance of the business and the profit share pot.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS: HGV 2 licence and current CPC certification.
CPC training can be provided if needed.
Able to work under your own initiative Good communicator - confident, personable and presentable Able to work to timescales and tight deadlines Knowledge of handling and delivering metals is preferred Aalco offers a competitive package including an annual profit share, pension scheme and training.
