We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Catering Manager with a culinary background to join our team in Swindon. You will be providing outstanding service to the staff and customers whilst guiding and motivating your team to be the best they can possibly be. As the Catering Manager, you need to be commercially aware, with the presence and personality to influence the day-to-day business. You'll maximise the performance of your team, leading by example and setting high standards.
You will enhance sales and provide our customers with great service. You will need to build an excellent relationship with the client, making sure their needs as well as contractual needs are met to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop and sustain strong working relationships with the client
- Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness of the modern kitchen and front of house environment
- Ensuring the correct use of all kitchen machinery and equipment
- Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
- Complying with Health & Safety regulations
- Completing weekly bookwork and reports
- Stock taking and ordering
Services include: Breakfast, lunch, Hospitality and Retail
About you:
- Possessing excellent culinary skills complemented by prior experience in contract catering within a business and industry (B&I) environment.
- Excellent communication & leadership skills, able to engage and motivate others
- Experience in managing client relationships
- Quality and process driven with particular focus on delivering results
- IT literate (Ms Office and emails)
- Business management within a kitchen environment
