Here at McVitie’s we’ve been crafting the UK’s favourite biscuits and cakes since 1839. The Manchester factory proudly produce some of McVitie’s most loved products such as Jaffa Cakes, Seriously Chocolatey Digestives, Hobnobs and Penguin, to name a few!

The Manchester factory are in an exciting transition period with huge investment as we are welcoming new products to the site, including Club and Gold Bar. Therefore, a number of vacancies have arisen for production/manufacturing operators. The key responsibilities of the role include:

Operating within a variety of complex processes and/or equipment.

Applying a variety of different skill sets, including mechanical/format changeovers and machine set up.

Use data from all sources to make decisions, problem solve and take appropriate action.

Work across lines or areas.

Maintaining the high standards of food safety, hygiene, health and safety and housekeeping.
Bring your experience! Essential Criteria:

Have experience of working within a manufacturing/warehouse/logistics environment or within the food industry.

Have an understanding of good manufacturing practice and safety at work procedures.
-
Will demonstrate a willingness to work in a team environment and possess a positive attitude to change.

Have a flexible approach to work, together with the ability to cope with a fast-paced working environment is required.
Desired Criteria:
- An understanding of HACCP systems.
