Location: Primary School, BS34 Salary: Competitive, depending on experience Contract Type: Full-time About the Role: We are working with a fantastic primary school in the BS34 area, who are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Full-Time EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years Foundation Stage team. This role offers a great opportunity to work within a vibrant and supportive school environment, helping to nurture and develop young minds. As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the class teacher to deliver engaging, creative, and child-centered learning for children in their early years. You will be instrumental in creating a positive and stimulating classroom atmosphere, ensuring that every child receives the attention and support they need to thrive. Key Responsibilities: – Work alongside the class teacher to plan and deliver stimulating EYFS lessons. – Support children’s learning, providing both group and one-to-one assistance. – Encourage the development of social, emotional, and academic skills in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. – Assist with classroom management and maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment. – Monitor children’s progress and provide feedback to the class teacher. – Assist with daily routines, including outdoor play and lunchtime duties. – Support children with additional learning needs, as required. – Promote positive behaviour and help maintain a calm and respectful classroom atmosphere. Essential Criteria: – Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within an EYFS setting. – A good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development. – Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents. – A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting young learners. – Good team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues. – Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
