Job - Trainee Teaching Assistant

Full time and Part time roles available

Monday – Friday

08:30 – 16:00

As a Trainee Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Assist classroom teachers in delivering high-quality lessons and activities for students.

• Support the preparation of learning materials, resources, and classroom displays to enhance student engagement.

• Work one-on-one and in small groups with students, providing tailored support particularly for students with SEN

• Foster an inclusive and positive classroom atmosphere by encouraging student participation and collaboration., Smart Teachers is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. We take our responsibilities extremely seriously. All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.

• A genuine interest in pursuing a career in education, particularly in working with children.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students, parents, and staff.

• Patience, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

• Previous experience working with children is advantageous but not essential.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one

• Excellent daily rates paid weekly by our in-house Payroll team using the Pay As You Earn (PAYE) system.

• Guaranteed pay scheme (subject to availability and qualifying criteria).
