Our prestigious legal client in Central Cardiff is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and professional Legal Assistant to join their diverse Residential Conveyancing team. In this busy and diverse role, you will provide administration and coordination support to the Fee Earning team and will work directly with clients to ensure they receive a first-class level of customer service throughout the transaction process. What you’ll be doing: * Day-to-day interaction with new clients and updating clients/agents/solicitors. * Taking client instructions, checking ID, source of funds, gift deposits, etc. * Preparing draft documents and issuing sales contracts. * Requesting mortgage redemption figures. * Ordering searches, drafting transfer deeds, and dealing with the exchange of contracts on sales and purchases. * Ordering mortgage advances, undertaking pre-completion searches, and setting up completions. * Adherence to AML, client care, and compliance procedures. * Providing support to the conveyancing solicitors to enable them to operate efficiently. Skills & Experience: * Previous experience working in an administrative role. * Experience within the legal sector would be beneficial. * Friendly, helpful and professional. * Excellent customer service skills. * Excellent with the ability to prioritise tasks. * High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail. * Able to use Microsoft Office packages. * Excellent listening and communication skills.
