To cover the following areas: Barking & Dagenham, Havering, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets and Thurrock THE ROLE: To mentor and support young people in their schools and on their estates that are at risk of becoming involved in Serious Youth Violence through 1-2-1’s, after school and positive activities, holiday programmes, and recruit adults in the community to be mentors. MUST HAVE: * Minimum of two years’ working with young people at risk or involved in serious youth violence in a full time paid capacity including: * information, advice and guidance * 1-2-1 mentoring * workshops * Experience of leading youth work sessions * Experience of working with young people on the edge of; school exclusion, serious youth violence or mental health issues. * Lived experience of the issues the young people we work with face * Managing safeguarding incidents * Detached youth work * Delivering positive activities/youth clubs * Minimum Level 3 youth work qualification or equivalent with level 2 in English * A driving licence and car * Full in date DBS or on the update service
