Kitchen Porter Location – Outskirts Dorking Salary range: £24,027 – £25,183 per annum Hours per week: 36 Contract type: Permanent Hours – Monday – Thursday – 12am-7.30pm Friday – 9am-4pm The Role: * Washing up plates, cutlery, service items. * Maintaining a tidy workspace in line with hygiene standards. * Keeping equipment clean, including walls, floors, work surfaces, ovens, fryers. * Assisting with service and preparation with food – Sandwiches and packed lunches – supervised by chefs. * Learning different food preparation techniques from chefs. * Receiving and storing food deliveries or dry, chilled and frozen food. * Frequent stock rotation to avoid goods becoming out of date. * Recording temperatures of chilled and frozen produce. The Candidate: * Attend online and face to face courses on subject such as manual handling, allergy awareness and food safety. * Undertake other tasks as requested by the Service Chef or Management team. * A strong work ethic and can-do attitude. * Friendly and approachable with good communication skills. * Strong level of both written and spoken English. * Client will provide a high level of training in Food Safety, allergen awareness, and manual handling.
