My client is currently seeking a Temporary Housing Options Officer to join a local authority in the North of England. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with experience in housing options, advice, and assessments to make a real difference in the community. Key Responsibilities: Provide expert housing advice and support to individuals and families in housing need. Carry out comprehensive housing assessments in line with the Housing Act 1996 (as amended) and relevant legislation. Offer tailored housing solutions, including temporary accommodation options and referrals to partner agencies. Develop and maintain case files, ensuring that all records are up-to-date and accurate. Assist with homelessness prevention, securing accommodation, and liaising with landlords, housing providers, and other stakeholders. Attend meetings with clients and colleagues, providing updates on progress and offering professional advice on housing-related matters. Essential Skills & Experience: Proven experience as a Housing Options Officer or within a similar housing advisory role. Strong knowledge of housing legislation, including homelessness and housing allocations.
