With a rich heritage in racing and a commitment to pushing the boundaries of electric mobility, Jaguar TCS Racing combines passion, expertise, and cutting-edge technology to compete at the highest levels of motorsport.</p> <p>An opportunity has arisen for a <b>Chief Garage Mechanic</b> to join the Jaguar TCS Racing department in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment. </p> <p> </p> <p><b>About the role</b></p> <p>The purpose of the role is to provide the workshop and trackside garage technician function, in support of the Jaguar Formula E Teams daily operational goals.</p> <p><b> </b></p> <p><b>What you will do</b></p> <ul><li>To operate as a garage technician for the Jaguar Formula E Team at the factory and on event as required.</li> <li>In conjunction with Engineering, manage the team wheel and tyre inventory to include wheel and tyre preparation, TPMS unit fitting and managing tyres during sessions at race and test events. Will include in-session pressure adjustments, tyre running and supplier / engineer liaison.</li> <li>Plan and administer all team truck operations including loading, inventory keeping, service administration and booking of the unit to attend events.</li> <li>In liaison with the Chief Mechanics, maintain all team consumable stocks, ensuring re-stock orders are placed and chased as required</li> <li>In liaison with the Chief / #1 mechs, purchase, maintain and manage the team pit equipment and off car hardware, ensuring kit is ready for use as required, proactively maintained day to day, repaired when necessary and stored correctly when not in use.</li> <li>Assist in the assembly and then maintenance of the race and test garage infrastructures both on event and when at the factory, including repair of garage equipment and packhorses etc</li> <li>Assist the team with all freight movements including the organisation, packing, loading/unloading of team shipments and paperwork creation (writing Carnet lists, truck inventories etc).</li> <li>Be the go-to person for storage of current and historic pit equipment, including PDN document creation and inventory record keeping.</li> <li>Ensure the Jaguar racing workshop, race and test locations are kept neat and tidy utilising offsite storage locations to keep areas organised and operationally sound. </li> <li>Escalate any issues and problems encountered with kit or operations to management as required.</li> <li>Adhere to all Jag FE and wider business processes and policies.</li> <li>Follow all safety regulations in all venues.</li> </ul><p><b> </b></p> <p><b>About you</b></p> <ul><li>Significant experience of motorsport event garage operational experience (both factory and trackside).</li> <li>Familiar with race event tyre management, including in session pressure adjust, engineer and supplier liaison.</li> <li>Experience with truck maintenance and stock keeping.</li> <li>Familiar with road and air freight operations</li> <li>A confident self-starting team player, familiar with the fast paced and ever-changing requirements of a race and test team environment.</li> </ul><p> </p> <p><b>What is in it for you?</b></p> <ul><li>Fortescue Zero bonus scheme</li> <li>Aviva Pension</li> <li>Group Life Assurance</li> <li>Group Income Protection</li> <li>Electric Car Scheme</li> <li>Health Cash Plan</li> <li>Employee Assistance Programme</li> <li>Private Medical Insurance</li> <li>26 days holiday <b>plus</b> public holidays and the opportunity to purchase an additional 5 days per year</li> <li>Childcare Benefits</li> <li>Free on-site 24/7 gym access at HQ and discounted national memberships</li> </ul><p><b> </b></p> <p><b>Additional Information</b></p> <p>You do not need to match every listed expectation to apply for this position.
