The Role

As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for producing accurate financial statements, providing commercial insights, and supporting strategic decision-making. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will work closely with senior stakeholders, ensuring the integrity of financial data while identifying areas for process improvement

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of the monthly Group management accounts and financial reports.
• Monitor and report on variances between actual and budgeted financial performance, including the management of the Balance Sheet.
• Monthly cost centre reviews with budget holders, ensuring managers understand what is driving spend in their departments.
• Oversee the accurate posting of fixed assets and maintaining the fixed assets register with a NBV of over £300m
• Assist in the production of year-end financial statements and audit preparations.
• Line management of the assistant accountant.
• Supporting the FP&A function, providing Mergers & Acquisition support when required.

You will report into: Financial Controller

You may also be required to undertake other related duties not listed in this Job Description from time to time, these may be ad hoc, but always supporting the needs of the business.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and legislation.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA Accountant, with at least 1-2yrs PQE.

Skills & Experience

• Experienced management accountant, experience within telecoms is advantageous
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is advantageous.
• Commercial acumen and ability to communicate financial insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and change-driven environment

Please note that although this role is working remotely there will be a requirement to go into the office at least once a month so you must live on the M4 corridor- near Swindon / Reading / Oxford or Bristol to be considered.
