What You'll Do:
- Own the end-to-end test strategy for features independently and proactively seek support when needed.
- Perform all parts of the fundamental test process with guidance: test planning, test analysis, test design, test execution and reporting.
- Perform testing in the Unity Editor and on-device across iOS, Android and Amazon.
- Own testing for new code features, content additions and live-ops updates.
- Use public and internal tools to perform grey-box and black-box testing.
- Demonstrate an ability to balance priorities of planned feature work with reactive live game issues and events.
- Inspect designs, concepts, wireframes and code to analyse test requirements and risks for design-driven features, seeking support for tech-driven features and more technically complex components.
- Identify problems with designs, schedules and plans to support bug prevention.
- Communicate test details and risks to stakeholders using language that they can understand and digest.
- Review test plans created by other members of the QA team.
What You Bring:
- Experience in game testing or adjacent domains.
- Experience testing or building projects in Unity, with demonstrable Unity development skills and Unity Editor knowledge also strongly preferred.
- Experience working within a game studio as part of a cross-discipline embedded QA team.
- Strong emotional intelligence with a focus on self-awareness, self-evaluation and an ability to empathise with the goals and perspectives of other functions.
- An organised, analytical and thorough approach to all tasks.
- An ability to communicate concisely and precisely, both written and verbally.
- An awareness of mobile device testing with an understanding of the bug patterns and techniques unique to the platform.
- Familiarity with source control (Git) and branching strategies, as well as how they influence test activities throughout the pipeline.
Bonus:
- Demonstrable examples of personal game projects built in Unity with C#.
- ISTQB foundation certification or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Game Development, Game Design, or related field.
