Company: I’m working with a long-standing company that delivers high-quality data, cybersecurity and software services across various sectors, including defence, banking, and aerospace. Their mature, innovative platforms set them apart from competitors, as do their awards. They’re looking for a Senior Container Admin to join an extremely long-term project, in which you will have a chance to learn from the best and experience completing an exciting long-term project, all whilst growing personally and professionally. You will also get to work with and teach your more junior colleagues.
Responsibilities
- You will deploy, operate, and maintain an air-gapped Rancher container platform and Kubernetes clusters.
- You will administer and troubleshoot Unix/Linux systems while applying security hardening.
- You will automate operations using tools such as Ansible.
- You will design and maintain high availability, disaster recovery, monitoring, logging, and alerting.
- You will work with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines and ensure ongoing compliance through patching.
- You will produce and maintain clear technical documentation.
Required Skills
- You have C1+ English language skills and have/are eligible for NATO security clearance.
- You have hands-on experience with Rancher and Kubernetes administration.
- You have solid Unix/Linux system administration experience (RHEL 8/9 or equivalent).
- You have experience with infrastructure automation (Ansible, Terraform, or similar).
- You understand container security and have worked in air-gapped environments.
- You have experience with Git, CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins), and IT ticketing systems.
Desired Skills
- You have knowledge of ITIL.
- You hold relevant certifications or degrees (e.g. CKA, RHCE).
- You have experience with VMware, BMC Helix, or SIEM tools.
