Overview

I am hiring a Pre-Sales/Solutions Engineer (Product Security) on behalf of a European cybersecurity provider offering a cloud-based platform that automates product-security testing and compliance for connected devices. Their solution analyses firmware, identifies vulnerabilities, generates SBOMs, and supports organisations in meeting modern regulatory requirements across sectors such as industrial, consumer, and critical-infrastructure technologies. Alongside their technology platform, they deliver expert guidance to help manufacturers strengthen security throughout the product lifecycle, from development to deployment, enabling scalable risk management in increasingly complex device ecosystems.

Responsibilities

  • Support presales activities as a technical expert, working closely with Sales to understand customer requirements, deliver product demos, technical deep dives, and customer workshops.
  • Provide hands-on post-sales technical support, guiding customers through onboarding, integrations, and day-to-day use of the company’s SaaS.
  • Design and explain technical solutions, translating complex cybersecurity and compliance topics into clear, practical guidance for customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Consulting, ensuring smooth handovers, addressing technical questions, and feeding customer insights into product improvements.
  • Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including proposals, guides, FAQs, and internal enablement materials, while continuously improving workflows and tooling.

Location

This position is hybrid in Düsseldorf.

Essential qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in customer-facing technical roles within SaaS environments, covering both presales and post-sales technical support.
  • Strong understanding of secure software and integrations, including software development lifecycles and practical experience supporting customer adoption.
  • Background knowledge in cybersecurity or compliance, ideally in product security, cybersecurity standards, or regulated environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to clearly explain complex technical topics to customers and work effectively with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams.
  • Must be at least C1 in both German and English.
  • Structured, proactive approach and experience improving processes using tools such as Jira, GitLab, Python, or similar.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of IEC 62443, CRA or similar standards is advantageous.
  • Practical coding experience is an advantage.
