Mid-Level Systems Administrator (Unix) (NATO Security Clearance) - €65k – Munich (Fully On-site)

They’re looking for a Mid-Level Systems Administrator to join an extremely long-term project, in which you will have a chance to learn from the best and experience completing an exciting long-term project, all whilst growing personally and professionally. You will also get to work with and teach your more junior colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • You will join and contribute to a NATO project team working on a long-term project.
  • You will administer, configure, and troubleshoot Unix/Linux-based operating systems.
  • You will maintain system compliance with security policies, including patching and vulnerability remediation.
  • You will perform backups and recovery.
  • You will carry out basic hardware management tasks.
  • You will install third-party software in line with the provided technical instructions.
  • You will document system architecture, operational procedures, and admin guidelines.

Required Skills

  • You have C1+ English language skills and have/are eligible for NATO security clearance.
  • You have several years of experience in Unix/Linux system administration (RHEL 8/9 or equivalent).
  • You have experience working with ticketing systems for incidents, changes, and configuration management.
  • You have practical experience performing backups and recovery operations.
  • You are willing to work in a rotational shift system and commit to one Saturday per month.

Desired Skills

  • You hold a relevant IT degree.
  • You have knowledge of ITIL processes.
  • You have experience with shell scripting.
  • You have knowledge of VMware or KVM virtualization.
  • You have knowledge of Windows Server administration.
