I am hiring an OT System and Network Administration on behalf of a Germany-based life sciences manufacturing organisation operating in a highly regulated GMP environment, specialising in the production of biotechnologically derived pharmaceutical products for international healthcare markets. The company relies on complex, validated production and laboratory systems where OT and IT infrastructure are tightly integrated to ensure quality, safety, and compliance. Its operations require highly available industrial networks, secure system administration, and robust monitoring of production environments, with a strong emphasis on regulatory adherence, process reliability, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and maintain OT network infrastructures within industrial and near-production environments, including firewalls, routing, and network segmentation.
- Ensure the security and availability of OT systems by implementing and monitoring cybersecurity measures and network protection concepts.
- Conduct GMP‑compliant qualification and validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) for OT systems and infrastructure components.
- Create and maintain technical and GMP‑relevant documentation, including Change Controls, SOPs, risk analyses, URS, and FDS documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network and infrastructure issues, working closely with IT, production, QA teams, and external service providers to support stable operations.
Essential qualifications
- Several years of experience in OT environments, particularly with industrial network infrastructures.
- Strong knowledge of network technologies including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, and firewall administration.
- Experience working in GMP‑regulated environments, including validation and qualification documentation.
- Knowledge of Windows/Linux server environments, virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere or Proxmox, and industrial infrastructure operations.
- C1 German and fluent English.
