I am hiring an OT Security Architect on behalf of an international renewable-energy company delivering end-to-end solutions for sustainable energy production from organic waste and biomass. The organisation designs, builds, operates, and services large-scale energy infrastructure for agricultural, industrial, and utility sectors worldwide. With expertise spanning plant engineering, gas upgrading, energy management, and operational services, the company focuses on innovation, sustainability, and supporting the transition toward low‑carbon and circular energy systems.
Responsibilities
- Identify, define, and communicate cybersecurity needs within industrial and plant engineering projects, with a focus on operational technology (OT) security.
- Ensure security‑by‑design principles are incorporated into automation platforms and software‑based solutions.
- Perform security and risk assessments for industrial control environments, including PLCs, SCADA platforms, and network infrastructures.
- Assist with the implementation and compliance activities related to the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) for software products.
- Analyse and assess systems, applications, and technical components from an information security standpoint.
- Work closely with engineering teams, software developers, and cross‑functional departments to support cybersecurity initiatives.
Qualifications
- Relevant degree, e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or comparable technical qualification.
- Previous exposure to industrial environments or automation technologies.
- Foundational understanding of cybersecurity concepts, preferably within OT environments or aligned with IEC 62443 standards.
- Interest in secure software development and product security topics such as SDLC processes and vulnerability management.
- Strong communication skills in German and good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Organised and solution‑oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively under pressure.
- C1 German and fluent English.
- Knowledge/experience working with the CRA (Cyber Resilience Act).
