The Role
Note: Please include a link to your portfolio. Applications without one won’t be considered.
Let’s cut to the chase. We’re looking for a Senior Video Editor with exceptional skill, technically sharp, creatively fearless, and deeply in tune with online video culture. If you live and breathe storytelling, know what makes audiences click (and stay clicked), and thrive in a fast-paced environment that values both craft and creativity, you might just be who we’re looking for.
This is a full-time, in-office role based in our Swansea studio space. You'll be hands-on with some of the most exciting content in gaming and tech, working alongside a growing team that genuinely cares about great work.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the editing and production of best-in-class video content: think high-retention shorts, engaging podcast visuals, and content that earns attention.
- Collaborate with producers to conceptualise and craft both long and short-form formats that punch above their weight.
- Bring original ideas to the table, new video formats, thumbnail experiments, retention tactics; you’re not just an executor, you bring original thinking and creative leadership to every project.
- Take feedback in stride, refine with precision, and consistently deliver sharp, on-point edits that meet deadlines.
- Keep a pulse on what’s trending in gaming, tech, and internet culture, and use those insights to shape your edits and elevate the final product.
What You Bring
- 3+ years of experience in the video production industry, ideally in a fast-paced, creative environment.
- A killer reel. Show us what you’ve made; we’re looking for technical skill and creative spark.
- Mastery of Premiere Pro and After Effects. Bonus points if you’ve got slick motion skills that bring edits to life.
- A deep understanding of YouTube, short and long-form video, including podcasts, explainers, and other narrative-driven formats that resonate with audiences.
- Audio cleanup, sound mixing, basic design; the more tools in your kit, the better.
- Experience leading or mentoring other editors is a major plus.
- Proactive and committed to sweating the details at every stage of the process.
- A formal qualification in media or animation is great, but not a dealbreaker if your work speaks for itself.
Bonus Skills (Not Required, But Very Nice To Have)
- Experience in podcast post-production.
- Proficiency in Cinema4D, Blender, Unreal Engine, or similar 3D tools.
- Graphic design or illustration skills.
Perks & Culture
At Zygo, we’ve built something special, a high-performance team that’s redefining content across gaming, venture, and beyond. When you join us, you’re not just punching in; you’re helping shape the future of video at the intersection of tech and culture.
Here’s What We Offer
- Access to global industry events (GDC, TwitchCon, and beyond).
- 30 days paid holiday each year.
- Flexible work - A generous remote work policy to support work-life balance.
- Growth built in - We don’t just fill roles, we build careers. If you’re hungry to grow, we’ll give you the runway and support to make it happen.
