Baxter Thetford is looking for a Process Operator within the Viaflo department to join our fast‑paced teams. This role includes rotating shifts Monday‑Sunday between 06:00‑18:00/18:00‑06:00, 42 hours per week, with a typical schedule of 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 nights on, 3 days off, etc. We offer a competitive salary and a weekly shift allowance of £109.86.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Follow EHS/GMP/GDP/company and corporate policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Operate within the Baxter documentation procedures (BaxU) and requirements, meeting all safety, quality and performance guidelines, ensuring both paper‑based and electronic batch paperwork is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Complete electronic batch paperwork (eBR) using dedicated hardware on workstations.
- Identify quality defects and reject them.
- Escalate issues to the Team Leader – may be involved in rectifying issues with support.
- Maintain the optimum line performance throughout the shift by adjusting the machine within validated parameters.
- Perform daily and weekly cleaning of the equipment and the area.
- Be actively involved in improvement programmes, demonstrating a willingness to embrace new ways of working.
Experience Required
- Experience of working in a GMP environment (pharma, food, FMCG)
- Proven experience in operating manufacturing or processing equipment in a production environment
- Machine minder experience with a strong understanding of equipment performance and controls
- Awareness and experience of batch processing, including start‑up and shut‑down activities in line with procedural requirements
- Basic technical knowledge with the ability to support machine set‑up and carry out troubleshooting activities where required
- Experience in machine adjustments and problem‑solving is advantageous
- Troubleshooting capability is highly desirable, particularly where supported by strong technical knowledge and understanding of equipment performance
- Quality focused – able to deal with routine, repetitive tasks whilst maintaining good attention to detail
- Team working – working as part of a team & sharing workload fairly with a willingness to work cooperatively and offer support in order to solve problems and achieve team targets
- Maintains high standards of behaviour whilst managing workload
- Flexible – able to carry out varied tasks often at short notice, adjust break timings around the production, work additional hours and adjust working hours as required by the business
- Ability to remain calm in a fast‑paced environment
- Punctuality is key as well as strong attendance
- Good standard of English comprehension
