We’re currently looking for fast, growth-minded individuals who want to help revolutionize the logistics industry and play an integral role in a thriving startup environment. The Carrier Sales Representative is a highly motivated, self-driven individual that will source and nurture our carrier and driver network. Our Carrier Sales Representative will drive the retention and expansion of our carrier base and have the opportunity to develop sustainable profit margins through Zuum’s Logistics Tech Platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience both in sales and customer service. The Carrier Sales Representative position has lots of room for growth!
Responsibilities:
- Find and sign new carrier partnerships and effectively utilize these partnerships by providing carrier direct rates to customers and covering shipments.
- Train and partner with carriers to accept tenders, assign tracking, quote in the Marketplace.
- Remain in frequent contact with carriers in your responsibility to understand their needs.
- Negotiate agreements and keep records of sales and data.
- Targeting minimum of 10 shipments per day average (monthly scale).
Required Skills & Experience:
- At least 1 year demonstrated experience as Carrier Representative, Carrier Sales Specialist, Operations Representative or in other sales/customer service type role.
- Strong knowledge and experience in conducting market research, sales, and negotiations.
- Outstanding knowledge of G-Suite; comfortable in learning new proprietary software systems.
- Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships.
- Organizational and time-management skills.
- BS or BA in business is preferred.
