The Role
As a Paralegal, you’ll support our in-house Legal team across a wide variety of commercial, regulatory and litigation matters.
Working closely with the Head of Legal and Legal Counsel, you’ll gain valuable exposure to contract drafting, litigation, data protection, AI governance and regulatory compliance within an FCA-regulated business.
Whether you’re a recent law graduate or an early-career Paralegal, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop broad in-house legal experience while working on real business projects that make an impact.
- What You’ll Be Doing
- Commercial Contracts
- Drafting, reviewing and maintaining a range of commercial agreements including supplier contracts, NDAs, introducer agreements and data processing agreements.
- Supporting the full contract lifecycle, including tracking signatures, renewal dates and contractual obligations.
- Litigation & Legal Support
- Drafting Letters Before Action and pre-action correspondence.
- Managing a portfolio of lower-value litigation matters through to resolution.
- Preparing court documents and supporting litigation under supervision.
- Regulatory & Governance
- Supporting legal and regulatory research across the business.
- Assisting with board papers and governance reporting.
- Supporting UK GDPR compliance, including maintaining DPIAs, ROPAs and other documentation.
- Legal Operations
- Maintaining legal trackers, filing systems and process documentation.
- Supporting continuous improvement projects within the Legal function.
- Providing ad hoc support across a variety of legal and commercial initiatives.
- What You’ll Need
We’re looking for someone who is organised, commercially minded and eager to build a successful in-house legal career.
You’ll need
- A
Law degree (LLB or GDL) with a 2:1 or above , or equivalent Paralegal experience.
- Excellent drafting and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A commercial mindset, balancing legal risk with practical business solutions.
- Confidence communicating with stakeholders at all levels of the business.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- A proactive attitude with a genuine desire to learn and develop.
Desirable
- Previous in-house or private practice Paralegal experience.
- Knowledge of UK GDPR and data protection legislation.
- Experience within financial services, fintech or another regulated industry.
- Exposure to contract management systems or legal technology.
- SQE1/SQE2 completed or in progress, or interest in completing the Level 7 Graduate Solicitor Apprenticeship.
