The Role
As an Aftercare Relationship Manager, you’ll own and manage strategic relationships with our panel lenders and key external system providers. Acting as the senior operational and commercial contact, you’ll protect and grow funding partnerships, drive continuous improvement, and ensure seamless end-to-end deal processing. This is a highly cross-functional, commercially driven role that blends relationship management, operational oversight, systems coordination and performance insight.
What you'll be doing
- Owning and managing strategic relationships with panel lenders, acting as the primary contact for operational, commercial and escalated matters.
- Overseeing the Lender Invoice & Reconciliation process, ensuring accuracy, transparency and timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Managing relationships with external system providers (e.g. finance platforms, decisioning systems, integration partners).
- Acting as the key liaison between business stakeholders and technology partners.
- Supporting commercial negotiations, funding line renewals and onboarding of new lender partnerships.
- Analysing lender performance data and market trends to increase funding penetration and improve conversion.
What You’ll Need
- We’re looking for a commercially astute Relationship Manager with strong operational understanding of car finance and funding processes.
- Proven experience managing lender or financial services partnerships, ideally within automotive finance or a regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of funding processes, SLAs, payout mechanics and commercial performance metrics.
- Experience overseeing reconciliation processes and managing escalations professionally and commercially.
- Confidence working cross-functionally across Sales, Operations, Compliance, Finance and IT.
- Experience working with external system providers or finance platforms.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate performance data into clear action plans.
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- A proactive, commercially driven and solutions-focused mindset.
