The Motion Designer plays a key role in delivering high-quality animation and motion graphics across a diverse client portfolio. This hands-on position is ideal for a motion creative with agency experience who is confident working across brand, campaign and content projects, and enjoys the full motion design process - from ideation and storyboarding to animation and final delivery.
Working closely with the Head of Post-Production, you will bring a strong creative eye, technical motion expertise and a curiosity for movement and visual storytelling. You will conceptualise, design and animate engaging motion-led concepts, collaborating across teams to deliver work that is visually compelling, precise, consistent, and executed to the highest production standards.
Key Responsibilities- Present and justify design/creative decisions internally and, when required, to clients.
- Confidently manage multiple projects and timelines.
- Understand commercial objectives and ensure creative decisions are made efficiently, on time, and within budget.
- Actively contribute to creative discussions and help push the business forward.
We’re seeking someone who can communicate creative vision clearly, develop ideas to their strongest visual and conceptual form, and maintain high standards of quality and attention to detail. You are adaptable to changing priorities, demonstrate strong teamwork and problem-solving skills, and bring in-depth technical and creative knowledge. A solid understanding of animation fundamentals, graphic design principles, creative direction and visual storytelling is essential to deliver inspired and premium work.
Qualifications & Experience- Significant professional experience in an agency environment.
- Expert knowledge of Adobe After Effects, with solid skills in Photoshop, Illustrator and basic video editing.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating quality motion design, animation and multi-channel content work.
- Organised, proactive and motivated to learn and develop new skills.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, quick-turnaround environments.
- Desired: 3D generalist skills using Cinema 4D, plus experience with relevant plugins and render engines (e.g., Redshift, Octane).
