We're working with a well established gaming business, who are looking for a Talent Acquisition Lead to join their team and play a key role in taking their recruitment function to the next level.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to have a genuine impact. You'll be joining a stable and successful organisation, but one that is open to change and keen to improve how it attracts and hires talent. You'll have the freedom to challenge existing processes, introduce new ideas and demonstrate the value that a high-performing Talent Acquisition function can bring to the wider business.
The Role
You'll lead and develop an established Talent Acquisition team, helping to create a consistent, data-driven and high-performing recruitment function across the organisation.
A key priority will be developing a comprehensive recruitment playbook, establishing best practice and creating a consistent approach to hiring. You'll also play an important role in the planned transition to a new Applicant Tracking System (ATS), helping to identify and implement the right technology for the business.
You'll be responsible for taking the TA team on this journey, gaining buy-in and ensuring new processes and ways of working are embedded effectively. You'll also work closely with senior stakeholders, using data, market insights and recruitment metrics to influence decision-making and demonstrate the impact of Talent Acquisition.
While this is a leadership role, you'll remain close to the hiring process, taking ownership of a small number of senior-level appointments, typically at Director level.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and develop the Talent Acquisition team, creating a high-performing and collaborative environment.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Recruitment Playbook covering processes, best practice and hiring standards.
- Drive continuous improvement across the Talent Acquisition function.
- Lead the transition to a new ATS, supporting the selection, implementation and adoption of new technology.
- Use recruitment data and market intelligence to influence senior stakeholders and improve hiring decisions.
- Build strong relationships with senior leaders and hiring managers across the business.
- Recruit for a small number of senior and Director-level appointments.
- Introduce and demonstrate new recruitment tools and technologies to improve efficiency and candidate experience.
- Establish consistent recruitment processes and ensure best practice is adopted across the team.
- Partner with HR and wider People teams on workforce planning and talent strategy.
About You
We're looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition professional who has operated at a senior level and is comfortable balancing people leadership, strategic thinking and hands-on recruitment delivery.
You'll ideally have experience of:
- Leading or managing a Talent Acquisition team.
- Recruiting senior and Director-level appointments.
- Working in a technology, gaming, digital or similarly fast-paced environment.
- Building or improving recruitment processes and playbooks.
- Using recruitment data and metrics to influence senior stakeholders.
- Implementing or improving ATS and recruitment technology.
- Coaching and mentoring recruiters to improve capability and performance.
- Managing multiple stakeholders and gaining buy-in for change.
- Taking a proactive approach to identifying and implementing new tools and ways of working.
Most importantly, you'll be someone who enjoys making things better. You'll be confident challenging the status quo, comfortable presenting new ideas and able to bring people with you when introducing change.
The Opportunity
This is a rare opportunity to join an established organisation at a point where you can genuinely shape the future of its Talent Acquisition function.
You'll have the autonomy to introduce new ideas, improve processes, influence senior stakeholders and help develop a team that is already delivering across a significant global hiring landscape.
The business offers a relaxed and collaborative working environment, including a casual dress code, regular team lunches and breakfasts, and flexible working hours with core hours between 10am and 4pm.
