Working hours: Full time 35 hours per week. This role is available on a part-time, job-share or full-time basis. Location: Flexible – please note you will be expected to attend our Swindon office once a week.

The opportunity: This is an excellent opportunity to join Zurich Corporate Risk as a key member of our ZCR Actuarial Pricing Team. In this role, you will contribute to the development and execution of Zurich’s Group Risk pricing strategy. Working closely with colleagues and a broad range of stakeholders, you’ll apply strong technical expertise alongside commercial insight to support pricing excellence. Many of our employees work flexibly in a variety of different ways, including part-time, flexible hours, job share, an element of working from home or compressed hours. What will you be doing?

  • Distributor Deals: Lead broker deals, ensuring pricing terms are aligned with strategic goals.
  • Pricing: Prepare and review mortality/morbidity experience reports. Carry out reviews of our mortality/morbidity rates.
  • Referral and Expert Support: Serve as referral point for large schemes, providing expert analysis and guidance on complex cases.
  • Release Management and Testing: Lead input and sign-off of user acceptance testing (UAT) for quote releases, ensuring system changes meet pricing and business requirements.
  • Model Development and Enhancement: Develop and enhance pricing models using the latest techniques, ensuring approaches remain innovative, efficient, and fit for purpose.
  • Governance and Compliance: Ensure all processes and models are robust, scalable, and comply with both internal and external governance and regulatory requirements.

What are we looking for?

  • A qualified or early/newly qualified actuary.
  • Protection pricing experience at a UK insurer/reinsurer.
  • A good knowledge of pricing techniques, reinsurance, and profitability metrics.
  • Highly numerate and analytical, with strong technical ability & financial awareness.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent team-working and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated with an eagerness to learn and develop.
  • Excellent market, risk and business awareness.
  • Skilled at working with a range of tools, such as MS Office, SQL, R, Power BI.
