The opportunity

We’re looking for enthusiastic and engaging candidates to join our Distribution team. Experience is a bonus but is not mandatory to be successful in this role, please talk to us if you want to know more. This exciting opportunity is to be a Telephone Protection Consultant (BDM) within Zurich’s ambitious Distribution team. You will initiate, develop, and maintain productive relationships from your own panel of intermediary (adviser) firms. You’ll do this primarily through structured sales calls and virtual meetings. As this role is a targeted role, you will enter the current and competitive sales and distribution remuneration scheme. Many of our employees work flexibly in a variety of different ways, including part-time, flexible hours, job share, an element of working from home or compressed hours. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you may need.

What will you be doing?

  • Be part of a supportive, fun, and challenging team with ambitious growth targets
  • Create, develop, and manage relationships remotely with intermediaries to promote Zurich’s protection products and services, ultimately growing our market share
  • Demonstrate an understanding of how an intermediary business works: their current position, future aspirations and how Zurich can partner with them
  • Develop your understanding of our industry and adviser marketplace
  • Maintain product knowledge and apply this during your conversations
  • Contribute to the overall performance of a large growing organisation.

What are we looking for?

  • An energetic, impactful candidate with the desire to succeed in a supportive but challenging environment
  • Experience in the industry or similar role is a bonus but it's not mandatory to be successful.
  • The ability to communicate effectively, meeting the individual needs of each adviser and ultimately, our customers
  • Confidence to network and successfully build relationships via remote contact
  • Ability to cope with varying workloads and priorities
  • Have effective organisational and planning skills
  • Someone who is self-motivated and goal orientated
