We have an opportunity for a Building Surveyor, specialising in Reinstatement Valuations and Cost assessments to join our diverse, passionate and thought leading team. This is a fantastically diverse and rewarding role which will involve providing assessments of building reinstatement costs for insurance purposes in accordance with the relevant building regulations to a range of public sector and commercial clients.
We are looking for a candidate who has a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in reinstatement surveying and is looking to grow and develop their personal skills and knowledge in a fast paced, energetic and dynamic organisation. The role is home-based but with flexibility to attend any office if preferred.

What will you be doing?
- Travel on average 2-3 days per week to customer premises to undertake physical on-site reinstatement cost assessment in accordance with RICS standards
- Reviewing internal data sources and open-source data to conduct desktop reinstatement cost assessments
- Preparing and presenting customer property reports to support business cases, including statements of need with accurate measurements, sites and premises
- Travel to customer premises to undertake physical site inspections
- Contribute to thought leadership and technical insight delivered to customers and key business partners both in the commercial and residential sector
What are we looking for?
- Assoc RICS / MRICS Qualification
- Consultative approach with the ability to recognising opportunities to generate revenue
- Self-motivated and able to manage own diary whilst collaborating with the wider team
- Demonstrating strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Experience in working to key customer deadlines whilst maintaining high standards of work
- Pro-actively takes ownership of responsibilities, manages time efficiently and adapts to changing priorities
- Excellent presentation and customer engagement skills; experienced at influencing and negotiation
- Build trusted relationships and promote collaborative teamwork, seeking diverse perspectives from internal and external partners
- A full UK driving licence.
