The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and underwriting new business accounts, ensuring profitable growth, and maintaining strong relationships with brokers and clients. This role requires a keen eye for detail, analytical skills, and a solid understanding of the property and casualty insurance market.

Key responsibilities:

• Review and analyse new business applications for property and casualty insurance coverage.
• Assess risks and determine appropriate coverage and premium rates.
• Conduct thorough research and gather necessary information to make informed underwriting decisions.
• Collaborate with other underwriters and insurance professionals to ensure accurate and consistent underwriting practices.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience as a property and casualty underwriter, preferably in a new business capacity.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with complex information.
• Proficient in using underwriting software and other relevant tools.
• Knowledge of insurance industry regulations and guidelines.
