If you have experience in actuarial science, data science, or statistical modelling, this is your chance to grow and take on work that matters. As a Pricing Analyst, you’ll play a key role in developing leading pricing models and supporting our growth. You’ll become a valued member of our high-performing Commercial Pricing team, working to advance our industry-leading pricing models. As part of our hybrid working approach, you’ll also have the opportunity to work from home as well as joining our team in Mark Lane, London. Many of our employees work flexibly in a variety of different ways, including part-time, flexible hours, job share, an element of working from home or compressed hours. What will you be doing? You will play a key role within our Commercial Lines Pricing team, focusing mainly on Energy, Marine and Construction lines of business. In this role, you will get to work with some of the largest and most complex insurance programmes in the market. In this role, you will:
- Shape Portfolio Strategy: Collaborate closely with underwriters to define, analyse, and implement strategies that enhance and grow our portfolios.
- Develop Actuarial Pricing Tools: Support the creation and maintenance of sophisticated pricing models, deliver insightful analyses, and help drive business decisions.
- Lead on Case Pricing: Deliver bespoke actuarial technical pricing and performance analysis across P&C, Motor, Energy, and Specialties lines, helping to set robust, competitive prices for unique and exciting offerings.
- Grow Your Technical Toolkit: Constantly challenge yourself by exploring new technologies and apply them in your work environment.
- Foster a Positive Culture: Contribute to a supportive, inclusive team environment where your growth matters.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Build strong, trust-based relationships with colleagues in underwriting, reserving, finance, and claims, sharing insights and promoting a data-driven culture.
- Coach and Mentor: Support the technical and professional development of junior team members and potentially move into line management in the future.
- Champion Continuous Improvement: Seek new ways to enhance our processes and drive efficiencies for our team and our underwriters.
What are we looking for?
- Degree qualified.
- Ideally have some experience in General Insurance.
- Strong technical and analytical skills in actuarial pricing, data science, or statistical modelling.
- Technical pricing experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Clear and effective communicator, able to explain complex ideas to a wide audience.
- A proactive mindset and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Proficiency in analytical tools (such as Excel, SQL, R, Python, Power BI, VBA).
